LA Unified allocates funds to schools with highest student need
A new student need index for appropriating funding to the neediest of students is up for adoption by Los Angles Unified School District today. The new index will use a “duplicated count” which ranks schools based on a value for four attributes of needy students, the newest being homeless students. The “duplicate count” allows schools to put more need value on students who have more than one of the qualifying attributes.
